Elinor Elfner is the facilitator of the Unitarian-Universalist Church of Tallahassee's Climate Change Action Committee and a member of the Sierra Club, Nature Conservancy Canoe and Kayak Club, Florida Trust for Historic Preservation, American Friends Service Committee, Unitarian-Universalist Service Committee, Florida Humanities Council, and other organizations.

Mabry Gaboardi is a doctoral student in the Department of Geological Sciences at Florida State University. Her research employs geochemistry and cosmochemistry
to analyze paleoclimates and early solar system conditions.

Beth Hollister brings to BBCAT over thirty years of experience with architects, engineers, developers, and contractors; and governmental, non-governmental, academic and international organizations. About half of this time was spent abroad in Africa and Asia. A registered architect since 1987, she has a master's degree in urban development planning, has worked since 1995 in sustainable city and development affairs, has practical experience in Traditional Neighborhood Developments, and worked for three years designing HVAC systems and performing energy calculations. Ms. Hollister is currently a member of EarthSTEPS, an energy and environmental consulting group, and the City of Tallahassee's Urban Design Commission.

Pam McVety served the State of Florida for more than 30 years, most recently as Executive Coordinator for Ecosystem Management. She developed Florida's ecosystem management program and has dealt with water management, river protection, marine research, state greenways, and many other issues. She has successfully lobbied for the state on water management, greenways, manatees, and sea turtles. Pam now serves as an advisor to Florida Defenders of the Environment, and as Stewardship of Creation Enabler for the Florida Presbytery.

James has 21 years of service in higher education. Currently he is the
development and public relations officer for the FAMU College of Pharmacy
and Pharmaceutical Sciences and the writer of the Pharmacy Directions
Magazine, "The PharmD." Additionally, he is a 14 year military veteran,
former canditate for City Commission, Seat 5, subscribing life member of
NAACP, member of SCLC, United Way/CSHP Review Team for Persons with
Disabilities, assistant pastor of Power House COGIC, and a member of many other civic and
social organizations.

Ed Oaksford worked 31 years for the federal government, most recently with the U.S. Geological Survey in water resources. He conducted scientific research projects, authored scientific publications, managed data collection and programs dealing with ground-water toxics and water quality assessment. Ed was the founding chair of the Tallahassee Unitarian-Universalist Green Sanctuary Committee. He is a member of Heart of the Earth, the Damayan Garden Project, the local Sierra Chapter, a Master Wildlife Conservationist, and an organic permaculturalist.

Carl Spangler was a long term volunteer for the Beaufort Maritime Museum at their Environmental Training Center on Cape Lookout, North Carolina. The center was a green organization that generated all its electrical power and hot water with solar panels and a wind generator. He is a member of the North Carolina Coastal Federation and other environmental organizations.

Steve Urse is a member of Unitarian-Universalist Church of Tallahassee (vice president for management), UUCT Green Sanctuary Committee, UUCT Climate Change Action Committee, Apalachee Audubon Society, Big Bend Sierra Group, Florida Native Plant Society, Magnolia chapter Florida Trail Association, Heart of the Earth, and a founder of the Big Bend Environmental Foundation.

LucyAnn Walker-Fraser works at the Florida Office of Program Policy Analysis and Government Accountability as a legislative policy analyst for the Florida Legislature. As a founding member of Heart of the Earth, she has given workshops, written articles promoting personal action against global climate change, and has calculated the tons of carbon-dioxide emissions avoided by local citizens who have kept a pledge to reduce their use of electricity.

Ellie Whitney is a member of 1000 Friends of Florida, the Coastal Plains Institute (founding member), the Earthjustice Legal Defense Fund, the Nature Conservancy, the Ocean Conservancy, Sierra Club, and other environmental groups. She is a coauthor of Priceless Florida:Natural Ecosystems and Native Species (2005) and is the former "Everyday Environmentalist" columnist for the Tallahassee Democrat (1990-1995).
